Employee Ran Ponzi Scheme With Customer’s Credit Cards

From Doylestown Patch, “Police in Plumstead are searching for a former employee of a local sod farm who is accused of stealing cash from the business, and running a Ponzi scheme with customers’ credit cards.

An arrest warrant has been obtained for 32-year-old Brianne Gallagher, who has been charged with multiple counts of felony theft and additional felony offenses. The crimes occurred while she was employed with Bromm’s Sod Farm of Fountainville, Plumstead police said.

She then used a Ponzi scheme where she would unlawfully use customers credit cards to pay on the accounts of customers who had previously paid in cash, making her employer believe the cash accounts were paid in full, according to police.”
