Company pays $16K to settle misleading ad claims with DOJ

From Delaware Online, “A Michigan company has agreed to pay nearly $16,000 in fines to settle allegations that it used misleading materials to sell corporate forms to business incorporated in Delaware. The suit claimed the Fatas are the same men, who, under a different company name, entered into a cease and desist agreement with the state in 2016. At that time, the business operated as Corporate Record Services.  Mailers that looked like an official Delaware government document and misrepresented corporate law requirements were sent to small businesses. The businesses were told they needed to pay $125 to get unnecessary corporate forms, the DOJ said.”
